  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 2 cloves garlic, roasted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and cube the Yukon Gold potatoes into 1-inch pieces for even cooking.
  2. Place the chopped potatoes in the Instant Pot and cover with water. Add salt.
  3. Seal the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. After cooking, perform a quick release of pressure.
  5. Drain excess water from the pot, then return potatoes to the pot.
  6. Add butter, milk (or cream), salt, and pepper, then mash until smooth.
  7. Adjust seasoning as needed; add roasted garlic for extra flavor if desired.
