Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and the last with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with dipping sauce.
