  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk with yeast and sugar; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture to form dough. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  3. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle cocoa powder, sugar, crushed cookies, and cinnamon evenly.
  5. Roll tightly into a log shape and cut into 12 equal pieces using dental floss or a sharp knife.
  6. Arrange in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For frosting, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; add vanilla extract if desired.
