Ingredients
- 1 cup firm tofu, crumbled
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped green cabbage
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 package dumpling wrappers (about 20)
- Optional: chili flakes to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the filling by combining crumbled tofu, grated carrots, chopped cabbage, minced garlic, grated ginger, sliced green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes in a bowl. Mix well.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place about one tablespoon of filling in the center. Wet the edges with water and fold over to seal tightly.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with a little vegetable oil. Once hot, add dumplings and fry until golden brown on the bottom (about 3-4 minutes).
- Carefully pour in half a cup of water and cover the skillet immediately. Steam for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve warm with soy sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.
