  • 1 cup firm tofu, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped green cabbage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 package dumpling wrappers (about 20)
  • Optional: chili flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by combining crumbled tofu, grated carrots, chopped cabbage, minced garlic, grated ginger, sliced green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Take a dumpling wrapper and place about one tablespoon of filling in the center. Wet the edges with water and fold over to seal tightly.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with a little vegetable oil. Once hot, add dumplings and fry until golden brown on the bottom (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Carefully pour in half a cup of water and cover the skillet immediately. Steam for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve warm with soy sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.
