Description

Dr Pepper Baked Beans are a delicious twist on a classic dish, combining sweet, smoky flavors and tender beans that will elevate any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) Great Northern Beans, drained
  • 1 can (12 oz) Dr Pepper
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the drained beans, Dr Pepper, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard powder, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil for the last 15 minutes to allow caramelization.
