- 10–12 lb bone-in ham
- 1 cup Dr. Pepper
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Whole cloves (for studding)
- Optional: 1/2 cup pineapple juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Place ham in a roasting pan.
- Mix Dr. Pepper, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and cayenne in a bowl to create the glaze.
- Score the surface of the ham in diamond patterns and stud with whole cloves.
- Pour half the glaze over the ham and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes per pound until internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), basting every 30 minutes.
