- 4 nori sheets
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned (seedless)
- 6 oz crab meat (or imitation crab)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until clear. Cook according to package instructions and let cool with rice vinegar mixed in.
- Place a bamboo mat covered with plastic wrap on your work surface. Lay a nori sheet shiny side down.
- With wet fingers, spread about ¾ cup of cooled sushi rice evenly across the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Arrange slices of avocado, cucumber, and crab meat horizontally across the center of the rice.
- Starting from the bottom edge of the mat, roll tightly while tucking in the fillings. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
- Slice your roll into bite-sized pieces using a sharp knife dipped in water.
