Instructions

- Mix in buttermilk, orange zest, juice, and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture while stirring gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Spoon batter into liners filling them about two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting or dusting with powdered sugar.
