  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 24 chocolate kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and peppermint extracts until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie as they come out of the oven.
  7. Allow cookies to cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
