  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onions and green bell peppers in olive oil until soft (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, sautéed veggies, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until combined.
  4. Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a neat loaf.
  6. Spread ketchup evenly over the top for added sweetness.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
