- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (dark preferred)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup water or beef broth
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by slicing the beef and chopping the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water/broth until smooth.
- Place the beef in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it. Add broccoli on top without stirring.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
