This refreshing treat is not only visually stunning but also incredibly easy to prepare, making it an ideal choice for any gathering or a simple indulgence after a long day. Chill it for a bit to let the flavors meld, and you’ll have a crowd-pleaser that leaves everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 23 tbsp sweetener (sugar or honey)
  • Optional toppings: mint leaves or toasted coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Rinse sago pearls under cold water until clear.
  2. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add rinsed sago pearls and cook on medium-low for 10-15 minutes until translucent. Stir occasionally.
  3. In another saucepan over low heat, combine coconut milk and sweetener. Stir until sweetener dissolves.
  4. Drain cooked sago pearls and mix them into the coconut mixture along with chopped strawberries. Fold gently to combine.
  5. Transfer to serving bowls and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
