- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse and drain the mixed beans thoroughly.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add chopped onion and bell peppers; sauté until tender.
- Transfer the cooked mixture to a crock pot. Add the rinsed beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Stir well to combine. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Before serving, check consistency; if too runny, cook uncovered on high for an additional 30 minutes.
