- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Halve each bell pepper lengthwise and remove seeds.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté onions and mushrooms until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground beef, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned (7-10 minutes).
- Remove from heat; mix in half of the provolone cheese until melted.
- Stuff each pepper half with the beef mixture. Top with remaining provolone cheese.
- Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil during the last 10 minutes for a bubbly finish.
