- 12 oz wide egg noodles
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- Garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente (6-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground meat with diced onions until soft (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream until well combined.
- Layer half of the cooked noodles in the greased baking dish, followed by half of the meat mixture and half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
