Ingredients

Bacon

  • 8 slices bacon crispy cooked

Vegetables

  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce washed and dried
  • 1 large tomato sliced

Bread

  • 8 slices whole wheat bread toasted

Condiments

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise optional

Instructions

Cook the Bacon

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5 minutes per side.

Prepare the Bread

  • Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.

Assemble the Sandwich

  • Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  • Layer the lettuce, tomato slices, and crispy bacon on four slices of bread.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.

Serve

  • Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to add avocado or substitute with turkey bacon for a healthier option.
