Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Sauce

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar for added tang
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional, for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika for smoky flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the crockpot.

Serving

  • Serve the pulled chicken on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides.
