Ingredients

Beef Patty Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce for added flavor

Instructions

Prepare the Patties

  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
  • Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Patties

  • Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  • Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the seasoning to your taste. Serve with your favorite burger toppings.
