Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs

Queso Sauce

  • 1 cup queso dip store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for extra cheesiness
  • 1 cup sour cream adds creaminess

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 1 sliced jalapeño optional, for heat

Instructions

Cook Chicken

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center.

Prepare Queso Sauce

  • In a bowl, combine the queso dip, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Mix well until smooth.

Combine and Serve

  • Once the chicken is cooked, pour the queso sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until heated through.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced jalapeño before serving.
