  • 1 cup soy sauce Low sodium preferred
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey Or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, honey, black pepper, oregano, thyme, and salt until well combined.
  • Transfer the marinade to a resealable plastic bag.
  • Add the steak to the bag, ensuring it is well coated with the marinade.
  • Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for more flavor.

Notes

For best results, marinate the steak overnight. This marinade works well with various cuts of steak, including flank, sirloin, and ribeye.
